At least I must have been one in a previous life as I love La Cocotte… a food bookstore in the 11th. I can drop by and stay for hours, reading mangas about some wine hero kicking some gourmet’s a** during some noodle competition (I might be making up all that stuff).
I like it and so will you.
If you want to read something about it written in a good english you can have a look there. But you can also go to the 5 rue Paul Bert (metro Faidherbe-Chaligny, line 8.) and talk directly to the cocottes.

About the shoes, I like the idea of seeing what you’re walking on. Pavement, sand, road, grass, floor, wood. Feets are travelling. I’m just showing it
